I’m going on a two-week vacation to Hawaii. What should I bring?
What should I bring BESIDES the obvious?
You can pretty much buy anything you forgot! They have TONS of stores, and its not THAT expensive.
I just got back 2 days ago… I brought waterproof cameras, and lots of sun dresses with flip flops- all i wore!
Even snorkel and fins are pretty cheap to rent, about $9, so you dont need those either…
Edit- OH YEA almost forgot, water shoes! You can get the $6 cheap ones from Walmart

sunglasses, sunscreen, clothes, bathing suit, camera, family/friends, money, your enthusiasm.

When I went to Hawaii; I way over packed. Really all you need is shorts, shirts, maybe a sundress or two, and your swim suit. I took like 5 pairs of shoes, all different kinds of clothes for me and my husband to wear and I didn’t need half of it.
Also, leave some extra space in your suitcase to bring souvenirs back home. But in my experience in Hawaii was it was casual so I didn’t need anything fancy.

Best thing to do is to find a condo/hotel that will have a kitchen or kitchenette and bring plenty of boxed goods to make for dinner as prices in Hawaii are somewhat high. That will cut down on your food and grocery bill but also experience some luaus as they will have a buffet style dinner along with entertainment. Purchase sunblock in Hawaii or if you purchase it here the mainland, put it in your checked luggage as the airlines don’t allow that type of item as a part of your walk on luggage. Maybe a small cooler, something to put a small lunch in and beverages so that you can have a lunch on the go.

I always travel light bringing 1 nice going out clothes just in case. If you forget something stores are everywhere. You got to think of the gifts you’re going to bring back.
