Location:
Set apart from Makena, the resort is located on a perfect beach at the foot of Haleakala. It is the only resort in Makena past Wailea on the south shore of Maui. The hotel fronts the King’s Trail and is surrounded by the natural white sands of La Perouse Bay. Old Lahaina Town and the Tedeschi Vineyards are a 60- and a 70-minute drive from the hotel respectively.
Facilities:
This cosy and quiet resort is fully air-conditioned and comprises a total of 310 rooms. It offers simple elegance, is surrounded by lush landscaped gardens, and features world-class cuisine, nightly entertainment, and a friendly staff. The atrium has a waterfall with a koi-filled pond and Asian meditation gardens. Guests are welcomed into the hotel lobby which has a 24-hour reception and check-out service. Hotel facilities also include a hotel safe, lift access, currency exchange facilities, a café, bar, restaurant and a newspaper stand. Conference facilities are available for business guests and WLAN Internet access is available for a fee. Room and laundry services are provided (charges apply), and guests arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the nearby car park. For an additional fee younger guests can enjoy the kids club.

Each guest room has a private bathroom with either a bath or shower and is decorated in a contemporary Hawaiian style. Rooms also come with a private lanai with a slotted locking door to allow fresh Hawaiian breezes to fill the rooms. Rooms feature all the comforts of home, which can be used at no extra charge, such as coffee, which is replenished daily, a bottle of water upon arrival, robes and slippers, and a complimentary safe for valuables. Accommodation units are equipped with either a king-size or double bed. Further in-room facilities include a satellite/cable TV, Internet access, a direct dial telephone, hairdryer and a radio. Bathroom amenities, a mini fridge, washing machine, an iron and ironing board as well as a writing desk and a lounge chair are all provided as standard.
Sports/Entertainment:
A gym is provided by the hotel at no extra charge, there are 2 championship golf courses and guests can play tennis (fees apply). Lauau can be enjoyed on the hotel premises 3 times a week. Recreational games are also available on the lawn just past the pool at no charge. Guests can relax at the hotels quiet outdoor pool, which features a childrens section and a poolside snack bar (fees apply). Sun loungers and parasols are available (sun loungers for an extra fee). There is also a hot tub, and for an extra fee guests can participate in aqua fit courses or enjoy relaxing massage treatments. Sports enthusiasts can also enjoy a game of badminton, volleyball or table tennis and, for an extra fee, can try their hand at diving or catamaran boating. A beach activity desk is available for water sports rentals and entertainment programmes are provided for both adults and children (fees apply).
