  • Whats there to do for a teenager in Kona, Hawaii?

Posted by admin on February 18th, 2010 and filed under kona hawaii | 5 Comments »

    Hello,

I am a 17 year old teenager who is visiting family in Kona, Hawaii, and I was wondering what there was to do for a teen who doesnt know anyone. Are there any teen clubs or anything? Thanks fot any help!

Hang out at the v-ball court next to the Hard Rock Cafe on Ali’i Drive in Kona. In the evening there are always folks getting a game together and you might meet some friends – both tourists and locals.

During the day, if you can afford it or the folks are paying do some of the activities – there are activities booths all over that will point you to something you’ll think is fun.

definately head over to Volcano park and hike up to the lava.

It is an experience you will never forget. I recommend, however, only going to the first hotspot that you see. Do not continue any further. In March of this year we hiked all the way to the steam plume (where the lava enters the ocean), and then got stuck in the middle of an active lava field on the way back. It took us several hours to get out and our shoes were melting. Enjoy the lava from a distance.
