Where is the best part of the Island for hiking and laying on the beach?
Are there any hotels that offer discounts to airline employees?

The Seaside Hotels are cheap, there is one in Hilo and one in Kona. Lots of locals stay there, a good sign. Kona for laying in the sun, Volcano for hiking in the crater.
