where in hawaii is best for tourism? Maui or Honolulu, or elsewhere.?

Posted by admin on March 11th, 2010 and filed under hawaii tourism | 5 Comments »

My wife and I are traveling to Hawaii in the summer, we are not really into romance vacationing or solitude. More so shopping and several tourist activities.

Oahu is your best bet for shopping and tourist things to do. I mean you have the swap meet at the Aloha stadium in Oahu. There are also local malls or open air shops on the strip in down town Waikiki. Theres North shore, theres PCC Polynesian Cultural Center, where you can learn about all the different cultures in Hawaii and around. You can go to Hanauma Bay, and go swimming and Snorkeling. There is so much you can do on Oahu. I hope you guys have a wonderful trip.

Moving to Hawaii! We want to be able to walk to beach miles long that is quiet with little tourism?

We would like to build on 10 or more acres. We are aware of prices Which island would you relocate to? guntash

If you had enough money to do this you wouldn’t ask this question here. I’d be surprised you could buy 10 acres to build anywhere in Hawaii.

    Hawaii Tourism Slump

Posted by admin on March 5th, 2010 and filed under hawaii tourism | No Comments »

www.hawaii-aloha.com **Like most other vacation destinations, Hawaii is seeing a steady decline in its visitor numbers. The slump, in fact, is now the worst we’ve seen since the Great Depression.
Hawaii’s visitor arrivals dropped 16.5% in December, and that contributed to what was an annual decline of almost 11%. That’s the worst percentage-point drop since 1932. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Has the Pear Harbor Bombing In 1941 altered Tourism in Hawaii? if so How?

Posted by admin on March 5th, 2010 and filed under hawaii tourism | 1 Comment »

The bombing made the Hawaiian islands a war zone, and there was the fear that the Japanese might invade Hawaii. No tourism functioned until many islands had been taken from the Japanese in 1943 and 1944. By 1945 the islands were once more a site for tourism. Today the site of the sunken battleship the USS Arizona is a memorial to the soldiers and sailors that died on that day of December 7, 1941, in Pearl Harbor, and is one of the biggest memorials in any of the 50 states. Recently some 40 million dollars has been set aside for renovation and upgrading of the site.

Where is the best place to visit in Hawaii, that is quiet without a lot of tourism?

Molokai is probably the quietest island in Hawaii, with a population of only around 7000 and relatively little tourism as compared to its sister islands. Molokai is best to visit if you’re looking for an outdoorsy vacation with hiking, biking, or fishing. If you want to go somewhere with a more established tourist infastructure of restaurants and nightlife, you’d be better off on one of the more popular tourist destinations such as Maui or the Big Island.
