What is a cheap, but decent accommodation on Hawaii, any island?

Our grannie wants to take my husband and I to Hawaii, but instead of camping on the beach ( like she wants and she’s 78), I’d prefer at least a bed. I’ve never been to the islands, so where are good accommodations, on which island and if you know the average cost per night. We could share a rooms as the 3 of us.

Purely fictional and I dont expect you to do this, but I saw someone find a dead body…ok well they didn’t find it and then they brought it back to their home and incinarated it and days later the police thought it was spontaneous combustion and they never looked for the real guy, but like I said I wouldn’t recommend doing this it was only a movie. I dream of running off to hawaii all the time too so i can understand your need to get away! Life will get better, good luck!

How Do I Find a Girlfriend On the Big Island of Hawaii?

I have lived on the Big Island of Hawaii for a long time, almost 20 years, and have not been able to find a girlfriend. I was home schooled. I have only met a handful of girls around my age (I am 19).
Where do people my age (18-24) hang out on this Island to meet other people?
How do I find a girlfriend?

Any friends? Ask them. College is a wonderful place to find the opposite sex. Take a class, arrive early and check out the other class members.Strike up a conversation with the women in the class. Do not zero in on one, keep on talking and see if someone reciprocates. The class they take tells you something about them, right off.

I used to watch my students, particularly in night classes that were clearly "shopping" and saw some succeed. Don’ t be picky, one success will lead to more confidence. My guess you find someone just like yourself just looking for you. Good Luck

What month is best to visit Hawaii and what island would you visit if you could only visit one?

We plan to visit Hawaii in 2007 sometime between March and August. Is there a month that would be best? I would like to go to Waikiki, but my husband would like to go to Maui. We will have our 5 year old daughter will us too. Do you have any suggestions as to when to go and what island to stay on – I think we can only afford to visit one island.

I have never been to Maui, however I have been to Oahu where Waikiki is. Oahu is much more city like whereas Maui is quiet (my husband has been there). So it really depends on what you want to do. Maui has wonderful snorkeling whereas Oahu snorkeling is still wonderful, just not as good as Maui. We went to the islands in July/ August ‘05 and it was fantastic. I really enjoyed Kauai when I was there, my husband said Maui is better.

The things I enjoyed on Oahu is the Dole Pineapple Plantation and the Pineapple maze (a lot of fun, usually find coupons in the travel books). Also, the Flea market at the stadium was a lot of fun to get souvenirs for cheap.
