i want to live in hawaii.which island do you suggest to live an work?

As I tell everyone who asks: O’ahu has everything the other islands have, from very touristy spots to no tourists spots, from city life to country life. O’ahu offers you more choices and you can easily change your mind if you want to.

For example: Lanai, you either work at a resort or a golf club, that’s it. Mauai, you either surf or you don’t. Big Island, you either work at a coffee plantation or Marijuana field. You can do all that on O’ahu, and change your mind if you want.

Which is the best Island in Hawaii to go for vacation?

Posted by admin on March 9th, 2010 and filed under hawaii island | 4 Comments »

I’m planning a trip to Hawaii, but I want to go to the best island that is the most tropical. I know all of the Hawaiian Islands are beautiful, but we’re looking for the best Island to just relax and have peaceful vacation. What is your suggestion?

I’ve been to Maui and the big island on the Kona coast. Out of the two I prefer Maui. It is very tropical has lots of places to go swimming and snorkeling and has night life too. Plus there are plenty of places for your man to go fishing. Trust me if your looking for the perfect vacation spot Maui is your best bet. I want to go!

Which island in Hawaii is best for newlyweds?

Posted by admin on March 7th, 2010 and filed under hawaii island | 5 Comments »

My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon and are wondering which island is best for newlyweds? We are pretty low key, aren’t that into planned activities, haven’t been to Hawaii, and just want to relax in a beautiful place together. We have a moderate budget, so we can’t afford anything too luxurious. Which island have you had the best experience at?

Kona on the Big Island has some nice beaches. It’s a cute little town. The other side, (east side) of the big island is also very nice.. very lush and tropical.

Kaui is very beautiful but.. if you go in the winter, when I did, there is a change it will rain. A lot. I went a couple christmases ago, and spent the whole time inside because it was so gloomy.. But i’m sure it was just the time of year.

Maui, is gorgeous. Maui was the first place I thought of when I read your question. Beautiful beaches – and they aren’t as crowded as on Oahu.

It’s a tie between the big Island and Maui, but i’m leanin more towards Maui.

    Have a wonderful trip!

Which Hawaii island is the best to visit?

Posted by admin on March 3rd, 2010 and filed under hawaii island | 7 Comments »

Not much into the club scene. We would like to see natural beauty and culture, good restuarants and hotels. Not all silly t-shirt stores and gift shops. lol. :) I know how some places can be way too touristy. A little is ok, but my main goal is to see the natural beauty of Hawaii. Suggestions?

Each of the Hawaiian Islands has its own personality and character. So, knowing what type of person you are and what you like to do will help you decide which of the islands you will like.

If you like tourists and fishing you should like the Kona area of the “Big Island” of Hawaii.
If you like solitude, a tropical feel, a rural atmosphere and you don’t mind rain, you should like the Hilo area of the Big Island. The west side of the Big Island has a few nice small beaches, including black sand beaches. Near Ka Lae, the southernmost point of the island you will find a green sand beach. Big beaches are not prevalent on the Big Island.

If you enjoy scenery, hiking, snorkeling, kayaking or surfing and don’t yearn for “night life” then the oldest of the islands, Kauai is for you.

If you are the kind of person who keep a bathing suit, snorkel gear or a surfboard in your car, then Maui is for you, because it has 120 miles of easily accessible and swimmable coastline, more than any other island.

If you have an artistic temperament or perhaps you like to get away and write, then seek out the island of Lanai.

If you love nature, hiking and solitude, then “the most Hawaiian” of the islands, Molokai is for you.

You’ll enjoy Oahu if you like beaches, shopping, tourists, high-rises, traffic and don’t mind a lot of other people. Honolulu is like a tropical version of NYC, or LA as it was in the smog-free 1950’s.

The massive earthquake that struck central Chile has now claimed at least a hundred-and-twenty-two lives. Dozens of buildings collapsed and parts of the country are without power, after the deadly 8.8-magnitude quake. Santiago airport is closed, and Chile’s president has declared a ’state of catastrophe’. Tsunami warnings have also been issued for the Pacific rim – sirens are being heard in Hawaii to warn of impending tidal waves, while Samoa has evacuated its coast.
