How to describe a beach house in Hawaii?

Posted by admin on July 15th, 2010 and filed under hawaii beach | 1 Comment »

I’m writing a story. How would I describe it? Be realistic and detailed! I need to know… I looked at pictures, but I don’t know how I would describe. Describe the shape, color, etc! Everything outside, the pool, everything! ha ha

    Thanks in advance!

Answer the questions you would want answered if you were looking for a place to rent.
Where is it? How far is the beach or other attractions? Just like any real estate transaction…location, location, location. If its not near anything, why is that a good thing? How far is shopping/groceries?
    How many bedrooms? baths?
Is the kitchen fully equipped? A/C or not a/c? Ceiling fans? Cable tv? Internet connection?

I saw you in my dreams
We were walking hand in hand
On a white, sandy beach of Hawaii
We were playing in the sun
We were having so much fun
on a white, sandy beach of Hawaii

    The sound of the ocean
    soothes my restless soul
    The sound of the ocean
    rocks me all night long

    Those hot long summer days
    Lying there in the sun
on a white, sandy beach of Hawaii

    The sound of the ocean
    soothes my restless soul
    The sound of the ocean
    rocks me all night long

    Last night in my dreams
    I saw your face again
We were there in the sun
on a white, sandy beach of Hawaii

what is the most safe place to go to a beach in hawaii?

Posted by admin on July 4th, 2010 and filed under hawaii beach | 5 Comments »

i am going to oahu, and is there any reason to worry about sharks, jelly fish, etc what is a safe place to swim a good beach.and can you tell me some beaches to avoid that have bad animals.

    thanks
    we are going auguest,10

-Box Jellyfish wash up on the South Facing shore 9-10 days after full moon.
    - There are some sharks in Oahu; Mostly Reef sharks which like to be left alone and very rarely attack people. To stay away from sharks don’t go into the water during dusk or night as this is when they come out to hunt their prey.
    - There are always Sea Urchins to worry about too. They cling to rocks and I have rarely seen them on coral though. I’m pretty sure that they eat the algae that grows off rocks.Sea Urchins have bristles that inject poison into they’re prey, so stepping on one isn’t fatal, but can certainly spell some bad pain. There isn’t necessarily a certain beach that’s sea urchin-free, but to avoid them
    A. Wear Reef shoes in rocky areas.
    B. Go to Sandy beaches like Waikiki, Ala Moana, Waimea bay, etc.
However, your biggest beach danger is those car thieves who break into cars and steal your valuables. NEVER EVER LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR CAR WHILE PARKED. Either leave your valuables at your hotel or bring them with you. Also, be sure to leave the car doors UNLOCKED just in case a thief might be curious enough to smash your windows to see what valuables are inside your car.
    Safest beaches
-All of Waikiki Beach…. very calm waters. however, box jellyfish do wash up here 9-10 days after the full moon
-magic Island- sheltered cove, sandy, great for swimming
bathtub beach This beach is just like a sandy bathtub!!! Protected by a natural stone barrier that shelters it from the waves. very sandy, clear water, no waves. Here’s a picture: http://images.vrbo.com/vrbo/images/ca23d
    - Ko Olina Lagoons- 4 Sheltered Lagoons with great swimming and snorkeling with no dangerous animals. This is one of the rare places on the island that matches your criteria with great snorkeling.
Be sure to be there before 10:30; It can get pretty crowded.
Don’t let your fear of the Island’s marine life deter you from other WONDERFUL BEACHES in Oahu like Shark’s Cove and Lanikai Beach. Just take the necessary precautions and you will be fine.

Should a destination reception in Hawaii be on the beach or inside?

Posted by admin on June 29th, 2010 and filed under hawaii beach | 2 Comments »

My cousin is getting married in Hawaii and I am helping coordinate it. She is getting married on the beach. Should the reception be on the beach too or should she rent out a space inside? If any one has had a destination wedding and reception on the beach, what was your experience and what would you recommend?

Some parts of Hawaii can be pretty windy. In Maui it’s windy everywhere. I would suggest that the reception either be inside, or at a resort where their outdoor space is sheltered.
